Sometimes, I spend a really long time writing a blog post, crafting it like a work of art.
Last week was not one of those times.
I wrote that thing in like, 45 minutes, tops.
But you people loved that sucker.
Apparently there are a lot of other fake adults out there, and so my little confessional struck a chord. Now we're like a secret online gang. We need a handshake. And leather jackets!
All kidding aside, it shouldn't have surprised me that the post resonated with others. I'm constantly on the lookout for similar content myself; adulting support and resources and understanding. Since now I know there are plenty of others in my same boat, today I thought I'd share some of my favorites.

- Millennial, a genius podcast by Megan Tan that traces her post-grad life in live-time. So relatable and so good.
- Adulthood Made Easy, another podcast produced by Real Simple Magazine and aimed at millennials, aka me and all my fake adult friends. I haven't listened to every episode — I pick and choose more with this one — but they just finished a side-hustle series that I adored, and the most recent episode with Dr. Meg Jay was a definite winner, too.
- Quarter Life Poetry, an entire Instagram account of laughing-to-keep-from-crying kind of poems about trying to adult.
- TED (and TEDx) talks are a goldmine for good ideas and inspiration, if that's more what you're looking for. (Try this one, for starters.)
- There are so many good books out there I start to get asthmatic when I think about how I'm possibly going to read them all; but if I had to pick just one in kind of the same vein as last week's post, I think I'd go with "I Just Graduated... Now What?" by Katherine Schwarzenneger. I know, I know — it looks super cheesy, a Schwarzenneger is involved — but it's actually a solid little book, full of interviews with well-known names from pretty much every field, curated and edited by the aforementioned Arnold relative. It's good stuff.
- Finally, if you just need some humor to keep you going, the army of women that run Pinterest got you covered. Like this. And this. And this. And this. And this.
