When I first started writing, I underestimated how much of my job would be simply talking to people. I started out pretty awkward in interviews (and, I admit, they can still be a little rough now and then), but it’s one of the areas in which I’ve seen the most personal growth. Getting used to simply walking up to people and being personable and informed enough to get good information from them can be a tricky balance, but it’s a significant part of what I do. For fun, thought I’d share a few of my most recent interviews — all are from my coverage of the Snowflex Games. It was late at night and the crowd was pretty much down to competitors and friends by the time awards were handed out, so they’re all pretty casual, but I thought they captured the spirit and chaos of the event well.
